- Tips From Experienced Staff. Veteran legislative staff will provide advice on being an effective staffer.
- Staff Role in Committee Work and Research. Legislative council staff will lead small-group break out groups discussing staff’s role in the legislative process and research for constituent responses.
*These sessions are intended for newer staff, but are open to everyone.
Friday, January 20th
- Ethics Code and Lobbying Law. The Wisconsin Ethics Commission Administrator will explain requirements of the Code of Ethics and state lobbying laws.
- Public Records Law. DOJ will explain how the public records law applies to legislative offices and what it requires for maintaining records and providing public access.
*These sessions are intended for all legislative staff, and Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credit will be submitted for each session.
